Research focus on astrophysics
Around 35 staff members from an international environment work on research questions about our Sun and the solar system. We are also interested in other stellar systems. In particular, activity phenomena of the Sun and Sun-like stars and their influence on the Earth and other planets in our solar system as well as on exoplanets arouse our curiosity.

Within the framework of funded research projects, there are regularly opportunities to join our team for a limited period of time - whether to write a doctoral thesis or to gain experience as a postdoc.
Of course, you can also join our institute with your own funding (e.g., a Marie Curie Fellowship).
